Partnership invite views to help shape health and social care vision for tomorrow

Have your say on shaping a health and social care vision for tomorrow.

People across South Lanarkshire are being invited to contribute their views to inform the development of a key plan for the ongoing development of local health and social care services.

The South Lanarkshire Integration Joint Board (IJB) has begun to consult on the development of their new Strategic Commissioning Plan 2025 – 2028. This new Plan will have an important role in guiding the prioritisation of significant resources and the provision of services in particular by South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) over the next three years.

An easy-to-use online survey is now accessible to encourage all those with an interest to have their say – https://online1.snapsurveys.com/rkg0kk.

In-person events are also arranged across South Lanarkshire, beginning with Clydesdale: on Friday, 13 September 2024 2:30 pm, St Nicholas Parish Church Hall, Lanark.

(See details below)

In launching the consultation process Lesley McDonald, Chair of the South Lanarkshire IJB, said: “The significant challenges faced by all public services are well publicised. There are also opportunities, to use our learning and the learning from other areas to update how services deliver and how we all engage with those services. I have been so impressed by the many examples of local innovation that our staff, our partners and our leadership team have driven forward over the last three years and what that could mean for the future.

“We all have a stake in the future of our health and social care services, and I am very grateful for the suggestions from our communities and partners as we shape our next three-year Strategic Commissioning Plan.”

Professor Soumen Sengupta, Chief Officer of South Lanarkshire IJB, stated: “Engaging with and hearing from our diverse communities and our local partners - alongside reflecting on considerable data, evidence of what works and the experiences of our staff - is an important aspect of planning for the next chapter for health and social care in South Lanarkshire.

“I am hugely grateful for the dedication of staff across our health and social care services, and am looking forward to how our next Strategic Commissioning Plan channels our collective commitment to effective, sustainable and innovative care in the years ahead.”

The online survey is open until the end of 31 December 2024.
